How do I update my itsme account?

Keeping your personal information up to date is essential for having a Curvo account.

Your itsme account is linked to your Belgian eID card. When your eID card expires, your itsme data becomes outdated. In that case, we'll ask you in the Curvo app to update your itsme account.

How do I update my itsme account?

You can update your eID information through one of the following methods:

Method

Requires

Steps

itsme website

Your eID card reader

Follow itsme’s instructions to update your information with your new eID card

Bancontact CASH machine

You have already logged in with itsme at BNP Paribas Fortis, KBC, Belfius, ING, Hello Bank or FINTRO

Follow itsme’s instructions

Once your eID data is updated, we will automatically reflect the new information the next time you log into Curvo with itsme.

How can I check that it has worked?

You can check which data is stored on your itsme in the itsme app.

  1. On the main screen, tap the person icon in the top right corner.
  2. Then tap “My data”.
  3. Next, tap “My identity document”.
  4. The expiry date must match the expiry date on your current ID card.

I already updated my details but you still tell me to update my itsme account. What now?

If you’ve updated your eID info but still see the prompt in the Curvo app, try these steps:

  1. Log out and log back into Curvo with itsme. This forces Curvo to retrieve your most recent information from itsme.
  2. Update the Curvo app. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app via the App Store or Google Play.
  3. Restart the Curvo app. Fully close and reopen the app to ensure it starts fresh
